I cannot believe it has been a year since I had the crazy idea to open an online bookshop. It has been wonderful in so many ways and also challenging too. What I take from the year is how spectacularly supportive the book community are and I have a new found respect for many members of the community from teachers to writers, illustrators and much more. Not forgetting my amazing customers who want to buy the books I sell.
Book Giveaway
In honour of the community I have a few announcements to make the first of which is a giveaway, the following book bundle is available for you to win.

Happy 1st Birthday Bear Hunt Books! We are currently reading ‘Usborne Lift-the-Flap General Knowledge’ which is brilliant and has so many great facts. Not to mention the flaps! (I think I like it more than the kids.)
We have also started to read ’How to Change the World by Rashmi Sirdeshpande, with illustrations by Annabel Tempest, which is so inspiring :)
Happy Birthday!
I’d love to read War and Millie McGonigle.
I’ve just finished ‘The Beast and the Bethany’ by Jack Meggitt-Phillips. Absolutely hilarious! Loved the shifting dynamic between the two main characters. Brilliant ending! Can’t wait to share it with my Year 4s after the holidays!
We have been reading The Suitcase Kid by Jacqueline Wilson It is helping us to talk about feelings
Happy First Birthday!
And what a first year it must have been – surely it can only get even better x
My current read is David Almond’s Bone Music. Big fan of all his stuff and this is wonderful x
