I cannot believe it has been a year since I had the crazy idea to open an online bookshop. It has been wonderful in so many ways and also challenging too. What I take from the year is how spectacularly supportive the book community are and I have a new found respect for many members of the community from teachers to writers, illustrators and much more. Not forgetting my amazing customers who want to buy the books I sell.
Book Giveaway
In honour of the community I have a few announcements to make the first of which is a giveaway, the following book bundle is available for you to win.

Reading in readiness to use for reading lessons with my Year 5s in the Summer term and I know they’re going to love the adventure!
I just finished The Shark Caller. It is such a moving and beautiful book. Wholeheartedly recommend this story, it will transport you to Papua New Guinea and stay with you for some time to come.
Happy first birthday Bear Hunt Books!
A YA oldie from my childhood: The Stringhold by Mollie Hunter. A gripping tale set in celtic Scotland where clans and druids reign.
I was recently whisked away to Papua New Guinea with The Shark Caller. Such a beautifully written book. I felt like i was actually there listening to Blue Wings adventures with Maple. The most loveliest of books with so much emotion. It is sure to bring a tear to your eye as the book reaches its final Chapters.
I read Dinky Donkey by Craig Smith to the reception class just before we finished for Easter. We all laughed so much I read it again. I’ve now bought Wonky Donkey to read to them next week!
