I cannot believe it has been a year since I had the crazy idea to open an online bookshop. It has been wonderful in so many ways and also challenging too. What I take from the year is how spectacularly supportive the book community are and I have a new found respect for many members of the community from teachers to writers, illustrators and much more. Not forgetting my amazing customers who want to buy the books I sell.
Book Giveaway
In honour of the community I have a few announcements to make the first of which is a giveaway, the following book bundle is available for you to win.
More bundles will be announced over the coming month for KS1 readers and picture book fans and prizes too. Please sign up to our newsletter if you don't want to miss out (see link in the footer).
As well as giveaways there are quizzes planned and interactive sessions with authors. Lots of fun and adventures abound!
For the first giveaway please comment with your current or most recent children's read. Feel free to share a sentence about the book we are always on the look out for recommendations.
The deadline is Friday 8th April at 8pm. After this another giveaway will be announce for picture book fans.

Just finished The Last Bear by Hannah Gold.
The descriptions are just amazing – one about how the cold gets to April made me feel cold! The story is great with April being very strong, determined and capable of helping the Bear. Just have to reread to the class now!

Congratulations, Michelle. I have returned to the Casson family again; after reading The Exiles trilogy to my 11 yr old son, he asked for “more Hilary”. We love her books – so funny about everyday family life, and so often heartbreaking. We laugh and cry a lot.
Currently reading Grow by Luke Palmer – seem to forget that I have chores to do when I pick it up and then emerge an hour later!! Completely engrossing and very, very real… Recommended 14+ though as very gritty..
I am currently reading The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant. It is a really magical, lively read with a great cast of characters and a narrative voice that makes you think of the classic children’s books. I recommend.
