Big Book Giveaway week 2 - Picture Books

Big Book Giveaway week 2 - Picture Books

Welcome to week two of our birthday giveaway and this week we have an incredible bundle of picture books suitable for children aged 3+.

I am not a fan of putting an upper age limit on any book, who hasn't enjoyed reading picture books to children? I certainly have and have many favourites from my children's childhoods, Dogs Don't Wear Glasses, Rover, Foxy Goes To Bed and of course Going on a Bear Hunt.

The pictured books are included in the giveaway, they are as follows:

Wee? It Wasn't Me by Clare Helen Welsh

The Case of the Missing Cake by Eoin McLaughlin

The Boys by Lauren Ace

The Best Place in The World by Petr Horacek

The Hike by Peter Oswald

Today I'm Strong by Nadiya Hussain

All you have to do for a chance to win is comment with a picture book you have read most recently and enjoyed.

The Watertower by Gary Crew is one I love using in ks2!

This is amazing! The last picture book I read with my class was ‘Leaf’ by Sandra Dieckmann! A truly inspiring story with a great message and fantastic illustrations. This is one of our ‘fab five’ books we recommend to all other class to read!

I absolutely loved reading Max the Brave by Ed Vere during Lockdown. I record myself reading it and uploaded it for our KS1 to enjoy. Not only are the illustrations of the little black cat hilarious but the message of the story of being bigger, braver and resilient is something I thought was a particularly important message to share, even with our youngest children!

A Child of Books – Oliver Jeffers: a fabulous book designed I think to inspire a love of books. I am an advocate of Philosophy for Children and picture books are a great way to introduce and discuss global, human concepts!

I read We’re going on a Bear Hunt with my class at least once a week. It’s their favourite story.
