This was a very moving and beautifully illustrated book to read. The story is about a young Jewish girl in occupied France, she is living with her Maman and Papa in a small village in France, her name is Sara and she was very happy. At the start of the story we meet Sara who enjoys things like going to the bluebell woods with her parents but suddenly the story goes to the news that France has surrendered to Germany and there seems to be no change for Sara and her family but sadly this is not to last and the rest of the book goes from sad to worse.
