I cannot believe it has been a year since I had the crazy idea to open an online bookshop. It has been wonderful in so many ways and also challenging too. What I take from the year is how spectacularly supportive the book community are and I have a new found respect for many members of the community from teachers to writers, illustrators and much more. Not forgetting my amazing customers who want to buy the books I sell.
Book Giveaway
In honour of the community I have a few announcements to make the first of which is a giveaway, the following book bundle is available for you to win.
More bundles will be announced over the coming month for KS1 readers and picture book fans and prizes too. Please sign up to our newsletter if you don't want to miss out (see link in the footer).
As well as giveaways there are quizzes planned and interactive sessions with authors. Lots of fun and adventures abound!
For the first giveaway please comment with your current or most recent children's read. Feel free to share a sentence about the book we are always on the look out for recommendations.
The deadline is Friday 8th April at 8pm. After this another giveaway will be announce for picture book fans.

Astercote by Penelope Lively. A slow start, but I love the way that in her books the past is an echo you can hear in the present, if you just listen.
We’ve been reading the Giraffe and the Pelly and Me by Roald Dahl. Such a fun classic!
Jolly Foul Play. This is a book by my favourite author Robin Stevens. It is a book from a murder series, though it is mostly looked from into the detective side, so not too gruesome. I’d recommend for teenagers.
My son has just read me the 130 storey tree house- he was a very reluctant reader but this series of books have reeled him in and he now reads willingly ever day!
Now we are in love reading Monkey puzzle! The way the baby monkey reaches her Mommy monkey is so heartwarming ! My son loves the part of hug!
